The client purchased an apartment in an old building in the very center of Moscow for herself and her daughter.
The main task for the designers was to maximize the use of every centimeter while ensuring that the space remained functional, comfortable, and beautiful.
Moldings on the walls, tall cornices, ceiling medallions, and classic facades on built-in furniture all became the foundation for a stunning and vibrant interior design.
Authentic white wooden windows with an original layout added a touch of classicism to the project, so it was decided to make all the furniture modern yet textured.
During the demolition of some walls and the removal of ceilings, incredibly beautiful plasterwork was discovered. Unfortunately, it was not possible to restore it, so it was decided to use it as a basis for decorative solutions, but with the help of new materials.
Only natural materials were used in the project: various types of marble and quartzite, natural walnut veneer, wool, cashmere, silk, linen, and cotton fabrics. Brass light fixtures, sockets, and switches became beautiful accent elements, adding warmth, fire, and brightness to the entire interior.
Faber Mobili, Vibieffe, Sovet, Binova, Cassina, Tosconova, Galimberti Nino, Csatrolighting, Secolo, Vistosi, Sigma L2 – this is just a partial list of European manufacturers that were used in the project.
